Cognitive-behavioral therapy, or CBT, is a goal-oriented and evidence-based approach to therapy that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. My core modality is CBT hence I am an experienced CBT therapist. I use a structured and collaborative approach to help you develop practical skills and strategies to manage your symptoms and improve your overall well-being.
During a CBT therapy session, you will work with me to identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to your challenges. You will then learn how to replace these negative patterns with positive and constructive ones through a variety of techniques, such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and exposure therapy. CBT is a highly effective and a relatively short-term therapy that can help you achieve lasting results.
